Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known worldwide as 2Baba, has finally broken his silence to address and dismiss the fast-spreading reports alleging that he was arrested in London. The false claims suggested that the singer had been detained following an alleged domestic altercation with his newlywed wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The rumours, which were first circulated online by a controversial blogger, quickly went viral across multiple platforms, sparking mixed reactions among fans and critics. The unverified report claimed that the legendary singer was detained after a domestic dispute with his wife, a claim that has now been proven false.

In response to the allegations, 2Baba appeared in a video alongside his wife Natasha and some of his close associates to clear the air. He stressed that the reports of his arrest were fabricated and baseless, explaining that his recent absence from the spotlight was due to health concerns and not any marital clash. The video showed the singer in good spirits, smiling as one of his associates jokingly teased him, saying: “Oh boy, dem don alleged you. Allegedly, dem say you way dey here, allegedly, dem don alleged you.”
Speaking directly to his fans, 2Baba clarified that he had faced a medical emergency that forced him to cancel a scheduled show. He expressed his gratitude to supporters, saying: “First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire.”
His heartfelt explanation has put an end to the speculation, leaving fans relieved after seeing him safe and in good health with his wife by his side.
