Rapper 50 Cent has once again ignited headlines by taking direct aim at his longtime rival, Sean “Diddy” Combs, just hours before the embattled music mogul faces a critical court hearing that will determine whether he regains his freedom or remains incarcerated for years to come.

On Thursday, the G-Unit boss took to Instagram to publish what he described as an “open letter” to Judge Arun Subramanian, the federal judge presiding over Diddy’s case. Written with his signature mix of satire and sharp attacks, 50 Cent’s post managed to combine elements of genuine criticism, parody, and outright mockery—all while reviving his decades-old feud with the Bad Boy Records founder.

In the letter, 50 Cent emphasized that his beef with Diddy was not only personal but also, in his words, a matter of public safety. “I have had an ongoing dispute with Puffy for over 20 years. He is very dangerous. Multiple times I have feared for my life. I think you should consider the safety of the general public, your honor, before unleashing him upon them,” he wrote.

The rapper then took aim at prosecutors’ recommendation that Diddy serve more than 11 years in federal prison. He ridiculed Diddy’s reported attempts at self-improvement behind bars, such as teaching a business course called Free Game with Diddy, by claiming that “there hasn’t been enough time for him to reform or make any adjustments.”

Never one to hold back, 50 Cent dragged other controversies into his post. He brought up the civil rape allegations facing Diddy’s son, Christian Combs, as well as the widely publicized federal raids on Diddy’s properties earlier in the year, which were linked to ongoing investigations into human trafficking and abuse claims. The rap mogul used these scandals to further argue that releasing Diddy would be reckless.

However, true to 50 Cent’s trolling style, the message eventually veered into parody. In one of the most talked-about lines, he urged Judge Subramanian to consider “the world’s need for baby oil.” “Diddy’s only going to return to hiring more male sex workers and keeping most of the baby oil away from the general public. And babies need it!” 50 wrote, mocking his rival’s rumored lifestyle while injecting humor into an otherwise serious case. He ended the post with a cheeky plug for his upcoming Netflix documentary, which will reportedly explore the scandals surrounding Diddy.

Diddy, who has now been in custody for over a year, faces one of the toughest moments of his career. Prosecutors have insisted that his crimes warrant more than a decade in prison, pushing for an 11-year-plus sentence. On the other hand, Diddy’s defense team is fighting for leniency, requesting that the court impose no more than 14 months, with credit for time already served.

The court is expected to make its decision soon, a ruling that could either see Diddy walk free in a matter of weeks or spend much of the next decade behind bars. Meanwhile, 50 Cent has ensured that, whatever the outcome, his voice—and mockery—remain a loud part of the conversation.
