Reports confirm that controversial singer Portable’s associates, who allegedly assaulted government officials, have been arraigned in court.
ÂRecall that Gistreel earlier reported how Portable and his boys allegedly ganged up to attack government officials who visited his bar for an inspection.
ÂAccording to sources, the altercation took place at Odogwu Bar in Iyana Ilogbo, Ogun State, when Portable clashed with officials from the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA).
ÂPopular social media influencer @man_of_letters shared details of the incident on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that the officials had previously visited the location for official duties before the confrontation occurred.
ÂThe accused individuals arraigned in court include Nurudeen Warris, 21; Adetola Alashe, 25; Samuel Adeleke, 28; Oluwaseun Ayenuwa, 19; Oluwapelumi Adeosun, 20; Gospel Kanu, 20; Precious Ohiegebo, 19; Ifeoluwa Babatunde, 27; and Fatimo Muhammed, 26. They are facing five charges, including assault, obstruction, possession of dangerous weapons, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
ÂCourt documents indicate that Portable and his associates physically assaulted planning officers—Abidemi Onabanjo, Ramon Lateef, and Akinpelumi Oyero—during the altercation.
ÂFurther reports claim that the singer and his boys were allegedly armed with guns and cutlasses at the time of the clash.
ÂWhile Portable is currently on the run, his associates have been granted bail set at N50 million by the court.
ÂThe case has been adjourned to March 17, 2025, for further hearings.
