Controversial Nigerian rapper Portable has taken to social media to lash out at popular influencer Mandy Kiss, following her recent video in which she revealed she was placed on drip due to alleged high blood pressure. Mandy had explained that she was under severe pressure after her failed Guinness World Record stunt, which attracted heavy criticism online and fears of possible arrest by the Lagos State government.
In the emotional clip, Mandy was seen weak, lying down while receiving fluids, with several packs of medication on the table beside her. She begged Nigerians to intervene on her behalf, lamenting her financial struggles and deteriorating health. According to her, the backlash from the public and the uncertainty surrounding her record attempt had left her physically and mentally drained. She admitted she could not even attend her scheduled show because of the fear of arrest, and disclosed that she had only ₦5,000 left in her account, insufficient to hire legal representation.
“May God not let me misyarn. Help me beg the king and the Lagos State government. I can’t even go out, my BP is high, I can’t breathe well. I even have a show today but can’t go over the fear of being arrested. I don’t have money for a lawyer; I only have 5k in my account. Please Nigerians help me,” Mandy pleaded as she cried for support.
However, her video quickly caught the attention of singer Portable, who wasted no time in responding with a series of scathing posts. In his response, the street-hop artist accused Mandy of questionable behavior, particularly towards his wife. He claimed that despite her public image, she had allegedly been sliding into his wife’s direct messages, an act he considered disrespectful and unacceptable.
In his fiery post, Portable wrote partly, “Boys wey use her done broke. Na kayamata she dey sell. But you get obo wey dey scatter people life. Na so she enter all my wife’s dm. Them supposed jail you because you dey enter people’s wife online.” His statement suggested that Mandy’s lifestyle and actions were misleading and a danger to families, as he called for stronger action against her behavior.
Portable’s outburst sparked mixed reactions online, with some defending him for standing up for his family, while others criticized him for using Mandy’s health crisis as an opportunity to publicly attack her. The incident has since intensified discussions surrounding Mandy’s Guinness World Record attempt, her public apology, and the mental health toll of online bullying and government pressure.
