Fresh controversy surrounds Nollywood actor Yul Edochie and his second wife, Judy Austin, as reports emerge that Yul’s family has allegedly distanced themselves from him over his recent actions and ongoing marital crisis.
The actor, once admired for his talent and charisma, has been in the news for months following tensions surrounding his marriage and the fallout with his first wife, May Edochie.

In a new development shared online by veteran Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop, the Edochie family has reportedly dissociated itself from Yul due to the controversies he has attracted since marrying Judy Austin.
Stanley alleged that Yul’s family was deeply disappointed by his recent conduct, describing it as a source of “shame and reproach” to the Edochie name.
He further claimed that Yul has been romantically involved with another unnamed woman, suggesting that the situation may be even more complicated than what the public currently knows.

It would be recalled that Yul Edochie shocked fans in April 2022 when he publicly announced actress Judy Austin as his second wife, sparking widespread backlash across social media.
The revelation strained his relationship with his first wife, May Edochie, who later filed for divorce in August 2023. May also demanded ₦100 million in damages from Judy for allegedly committing adultery with her husband.
Yul and Judy welcomed their first child together on November 21, 2021, months before their union became public knowledge.
