In a trending video currently making waves on X (formerly Twitter), the lady explained that any woman who truly values peace of mind should marry men “wey no too get sense.” According to her, these men are less dramatic, avoid unnecessary stress, and rarely pick fights over domestic issues.

She gave practical examples to support her point. The lady narrated that if an “I don’t care” man comes home after a long day at work and meets the house completely scattered, he would simply overlook the situation, go into his room, and sleep peacefully without shouting, complaining, or stirring up conflict. Similarly, she said if such a man returns and there is no food, instead of getting angry or quarrelling, he would just walk into the kitchen, prepare a meal for himself and his wife, and afterwards everyone would eat together happily.

The lady stressed that this type of man doesn’t allow trivial matters to affect his peace, which in turn gives his wife freedom and calmness in the marriage. However, she issued a warning to women, urging them to stay away from men who always want to prove a point in every argument. According to her, men who constantly want to “win” in conversations or impose authority can never provide true happiness in marriage because they bring unnecessary tension into the home.

Her statement has, however, drawn mixed reactions from the online community, with people sharply divided on her perspective.

Public Reactions

Social media users flooded the comment section with contrasting opinions. One user, King Eze, strongly disagreed, saying: “She also failed to include the part where ‘I don’t care men’ also find it easy to sleep around, disappear from home, get drunk, and even beat up their wives just because they don’t care. The greatest form of love is disciplinary love – the kind that asks you questions, pushes you to do better, trains you, and strengthens you.”

Another commenter, Next Door Engr, argued: “This one is talking out of frustration and it’s advice for women who don’t want a man who truly cares. Some will take this and use it as an excuse to cheat.”

Tuff Seed mocked the advice, writing: “Una go marry money … later you go discover say the man no get home training but him get money … na that time you go realize say peace of mind no dey there at all 😂😂😂 you will learn the hard way.”

Osazee also reacted, warning: “Some girls without proper guidance will take this advice until they find out their ‘I don’t care husband’ has another family somewhere else that he actually cares about.”

Adding a different angle, another user simply called Human wrote: “When did women start looking for peace of mind in marriage? Na man need peace of mind. Woman is meant to bother herself and build the home. This generation is trying too hard to rewrite history.”

The video has since gone viral, sparking heated arguments about the qualities women should prioritize in choosing life partners, and whether being carefree truly guarantees happiness or invites more trouble in the long run.
